Since beginning, STAPL is specialized in industrial distribution. 

STAPL is a family owned business which is headed by Mr Sanjay Shirodkar who is working in a position of Managing Director in the company.

The other Director, Mr Manoj Shirodkar is heading the manufacturing company: Shirodkar Preci Comp Pvt Ltd (SPCPL) which is into manufacturing of precision CNC Machined components and Assemblies. 70% of the produce is exported to Europe, USA, Singapore and China. Majority of the business of SPCPL comes from non-automotive segment.

STAPL has a unique business model in which each principal is treated as a separate business vertical within STAPL and the respective vertical has a Business Head who is heading a dedicated sales team working for the respective vertical. Vertical head is empowered in taking decision for his individual vertical.With such arrangements, the respective team gets technically trained on the individual products and is able to focus on value selling and this also justifies the principal’s need of having a dedicated set up for their product line. The total work force in STAPL is 60+ out of which 40+ are dedicated sales people. 

STAPL is using SAP software. The systems implemented in STAPL are very robust and are accessible at all levels in the organization with respective security levels. For Sales team, the information is accessible via web which makes them efficient on the field.

The spares and material deliveries are outsourced to a courier company who has a dedicated work force working exclusively for STAPL for all 7 days in a week. Also, for our Kaeser Compressor division, we offer maintenance services 7 days in a week.

STAPL has implemented sound HR practices for its team and has taken care of basic needs like
Medical Insurance, Accident Insurance, PF, and Gratuity. STAPL has a healthy working culture and
considers its team as the most valuable investment; because of this the team retention is very good in
the organization.

For the vertical heads, STAPL has a fixed pay and variable pay in form of profit sharing with him, this helps in retention of key members in the organization for a long time.
